Michigan Democratic Primary – Uncommitted

2008 January 8
by Nayan Hajratwala

For those of us in Michigan who plan to vote in the January 15th primary, but are utterly astounded at the craziness that resulted in most of the Democratic candidates not being on the ballot — If you’d like to vote for someone other than Clinton or Kucinich, party officials are recommending a vote of Uncommitted.

“If at least 15% of voters statewide vote uncommitted, that spot will be filled by delegates who’ll pledge for a candidate at the Democratic National Convention in August.”

So presumably, these delegates will vote for the front runner at that point … my bets are on Obama.
